Just Before Closing is the first painting in my travel collection "Memories in..."

This painting, based on a photo i took on a street in Osaka, shows a lone worker inside a small ramen bar, seen through a narrow opening in the shopfront.

The empty stools and quiet counter capture a calm pause at the end of the night, when service has slowed and the room settles.
